I’ve been living in London for quite some time. During this time, I got the chance to see so many beautiful places. After a while, I thought ”Why don’t I go and see a British town where I can talk to some local people and act like one of them.”. And so I made my way to the amazing town, Guildford. So much I can tell about Guilford. With its vast green spaces, charming cottages, and architectural texture Guildford makes you feel like you’re about to start reading a historical romance novel which you’ll gladly become a part of. As I was walking by the river, I watched kids canoeing and having fun, I felt the warmth of the weather around my neck and I listened to the willow trees as their leaves rhymed with the breeze. Guildford hosts many stores, local coffee shops along with the ones that we all know such as Caffe Nero & Starbucks. As the University of Surrey is situated in Guildford, there are a lot of students coming from all around the world and living within the borders of this lovely town. Honestly, if I could go back in time, I would probably choose to study here too.
Walking for hours is what I like to do in this town. If I get tired of walking, I buy myself a cup of English tea and sit back. I have not seen a place that is more welcoming. Even when I am alone, I am not alone. I get to chat with elderly people who have been living in this town for long years. Hearing their stories is like traveling in time. And for me, these are the moments that I appreciate most.No money can give the happiness of these random conversations.
Now, you know what to do this weekend! 🙂 Still can’t decide? Okay, maybe if I put a few photos on display…
